Create your own "designer" frog or follow these directions:
Frog Legs: Cut bake and cool cookies.
(use the above photo to create the template to cut out the cookie dough)
Make, bake and cool cake using the Animal Crackers cake pan.
Trim ear portions off the cake and attach with icing to top of the cake for the eyes.
Position leg cookies and trace the entire cake onto a cake board or cardboard.
Cut the cardboard to fit the cake so it won't show when the frog
cake is completed and cover the cardboard in aluminum foil.
Place cake and cookie frog legs in position on the foil-covered cardboard.
Pipe tip 7 dots where original eyes were on the Animal Crackers cake pan.
Using tip 7, ring around the dots.
Ice whites of the new eyes smoother.
Pipe pupils with tip 4 (smooth with finger dipped in cornstarch).
Ice mouth area smooth.
Pipe tip 4 zigzag outside the mouth area
(smooth with finger dipped in corn starch).
Overpipe area several times with tip 7 to build up.
Cover cake with tip 18 stars (spots first).
Position frog's legs next to the cake and cover with tip 18 stars.
If you do not have Kandy Clay, you can use Fondant OR decorate with pink frosting.
The Kandy Clay or Fondant helps create the 3-dimensional look.
Or you can cut a piece of cardboard in shape of the tongue and add a few inches extra
to push into the cake, decorate it and attach to the frog cake.
Knead Kandy Clay to soften and shape into tongue
with upward curve on end of the tongue.
Pipe tip 18 rosette and position candle on top
of the rosette (to hold candle in place).
Candle can be placed straight up or can be laid onto the tongue flat.
