Trevor's Jungle Safari 8th Birthday Party

The kids are decorating cookies in the smaller pictures...
Geoffery The Giffafe Cake
2 boxes Yellow Cake Mix
8 Chocolate Wafer Cookies
2 cans (16 oz.) Prepared Vanilla frosting
Deep yellow food coloring (paste preferable)
1/2 Cup Prepared Chocolate frosting
2 Oval Sandwich Cookies (Cameo or Vienna Fingers)
1 Licorice Lace Candy
Grease a 13x9 baking pna, a 2-1/2 quart Pyrex bowl and 3 cupcake tins;
mix cake and bake according to instructions on the prepared cake mix box.
Face: The Pryex Bowl
Nose: 1 Cupcake
Antler Stems: 2 Cupcakes (or use Twinkies) (2-1/2 x 1-1/2 inches)
Eyes: Oval cookies
Cut 13x9 cake to make tear drop shapes for the Ears
(4-1/2 inches long by 3 inches across)
Cut oblong piece of cake for the Neck.
Cut 1/2 to 3/4 inch slice from bottom of cupcake for Mouth.
Decorate with yellow frosting. Inside the ears, top of the head
and eyes should be frosted with brown frosting. Use red for the tongue (frosting or use fruit roll-up and cut out tongue shape). Add cookies for dots and licorice
for the nose.

Back yard Safari Hunt for the animal erasers in the colors they were assigned. The all boys group they had to hunt for peanuts and the two orange ones in a bag were prize peanuts. So the animals they hunts for were erasers and their favors along with getting real peanuts of which the most won a prize these also.
