party ideas....
I posted this under Christmas thread but thought I would do it here too. Now I found this idea from TV but adapted it into a game for Christmas Eve.
The questions are to be about Christmas. They can't answer with this Christmas.
1. What was your favorite Christmas?
2. What was your worst Christmas?
3. What is your favorite cookie?
4. What is your favorite pie?
5. What was the best gift?
We had so much fun, some of the things people said were romantic, some like the answer to your worst Christmas was a family member that had passed, but the funniest one we had answered was the person's favorite cookie. The answer shocked some, some couldn't believe their ears, and we had the greatest time and was fun to ask everyone. The kids were involved, however, our kids are 16 years old....so they aren't little.
You could add to the list but it kind of gets worn down as you go, but start out with the key points that seem most important.
We had one say his best gift was when his Grandmother came home from England. Best Christmas was the first Christmas with the wife. Favorite cookie was one I can't mention as it isn't appropriate for his forum and we laughed so hard.... So play the game and make your own.
Now my challenge is what to do for next year. Any traditions anyone has? We are doing an gag gift exchange and there are three of us in our house hold and not sure if I can come up with that many gag gifts. However, if you have some suggestions please pass them on. The best for one is we took pictures and the person out of all 15 of us kept saying "when is this game going to be over". Well we have a great picture of him and thinking of doing a 8x10 and putting the caption "When is this game going to be over" and then frame it. Obviously you had to at the event to relate. We should of recoreded it but we didn't and it was an one kind of an event. Just a tip if you try it, and now yours maybe not be as fun as ours. However, I read that it is something you can do after you have eatten and all and people kind of start to leave, you play a game.
