Inspiration can come from anywhere. I saw these Santas as boxes in a magazine. They were 4-sided, so I cut them down to 3 sides. They are assembled after they are iced with Royal icing. The moustaches and pom pons are separate cookies. I would have loved to used cotton candy at the top, but I don't have a machine to make it, and the packaged cotton candy only came in blue, pink, and yellow.
