Your John Deere party will be great even if you can't bring in the heavy equipment. Our John Deere party supplies will make for the perfect environment for your party guests. You can never have too many decorations, especially when it comes to the stuff kids love. Get your youngster involved by asking him to gather his John Deere tractor toys to put on display for all to see. It's his big day and you can bet it will be extra special when you see him beaming with pride and showing off his toys to everyone. His toy collection is a great start, but you'll probably want to get a few more items as well.
Your decorations will probably focus around the wonderful green and yellow machinery that's so well known. You can fly a John Deere tractor banner to direct the guests to the fun. If you want even more visibility you can add some John Deere foil balloons or tractor hanging cutouts. All the kids are going to be buzzing with excitement when they see the fun from afar.
When the guests arrive, be sure to greet them with John Deere tractor treat bags. You can fill them up with all kinds of goodies, including JD stickers and blowouts. Presents are one of the main events at kids' birthday parties, but sometimes the young guests can feel left out. If you give the little ones some cool tractor gear at the very beginning they'll love you for it.
The table settings are next on the list, so don't forget your tractor tablecloth. It will serve double duty: It's a great decoration and any messes will be easier to clean up. Of course, you can also get John Deere tractor plates and napkins to match. If you want to give your guests another goodie to take home you might consider Deere tumblers instead of disposable cups. Put the finishing touches on the ambiance with some streamers and more balloons, or even some John Deere giant wall decals if you have the space. You can subsequently use these to decorate your little farmer's bedroom!
Now that you've set the scene it's time to make sure your guests have a great time to remember. Consider getting John Deere hats for everyone so they really get into the theme. If you want to make it even more fun you can invite the little party guests wear their own John Deere clothing to the party. Kids love dressing up, and you can join in on the fun too. The guests will be delighted if you come out to serve the cake dressed in a full farmer outfit.
The best way to get things started would be an authentic tractor ride (and Deere lawn tractors could still count). You can't get the real deal at any John Deere party supplies store, but a local farmer might be able to help you out. Don't worry if you can't land an actual tractor, you can still make sure your guests have fun.
Games and other John Deere activities are a great alternative. Start off with a tractor race, where teams of two go against each other in a competition similar to the classic wheelbarrow race. After the children have recovered from the race, you can have your own mock tractor pulls. Load up some sturdy plastic boxes with weight and see who can drag it the farthest in a set amount of time. The winning "tractor" gets a John Deere coin bank to take home as a prize, and the runners up get some John Deere clothing. The kids will be worn out after all that pulling, but you don't need to stop there. Get a John Deere tractor pi?ata and let the kids take turns whacking away while they recuperate. Your guests will remember this theme party as the best ever with all these fun activities.
Treats are one of the most exciting parts of the party for the kids, so now is the time to shine. If you're ambitious or just happen to be a budding pastry chef you can make a cake shaped like a John Deere tractor. If this is a bit overwhelming, don't worry. You can always make a more simple cake and decorate it with John Deere toys instead. If cake isn't your thing, consider going with some John Deere tractor cupcake wrappers so each guest can have an individual treat. The kids will be more than happy to choose their favorite out of a few options. Cupcakes are also good for picky eaters or those who have food allergies because they're easily customizable.
Your John Deere party also presents the perfect opportunity to serve up some local fare. Head out to your local farmers' market before the big day and get enough food to feed all the guests. The offerings will depend on the season, so be sure to talk to your local farmers to find the best stuff. You can also use this time to find out if any farmers are willing to host a tractor ride. If not, you can always go with a John Deere rental. Once you find out what's in season and tasty, you can put together a little menu. Finger foods are perfect for most parties.
After the food, it should be about time for the children to head home. They might be worn out from all the activity and games earlier, but you can have some extra activities in reserve just in case. More John Deere games (pin the tail on the tractor, for example) might do the trick, or you could do some crafts with John Deere sticker sheets.
Once all the guests are gone you can clean up and think about all the great times you had. The kids will be talking about the party for weeks if you follow some of these tips. Get your plans together so you can start sending off your John Deere tractor invitations soon!
