Welcome Welcome Welcome to the Big Blue House!

Invitations:
Purchase premade character invitations.

Make your own. Cut a square and a trinangle out of blue cardstock. Glue the triangle to the top of the square with the longest flat side touching the top of the square to make a house shape. Cut out a small rectangle and glue on for the door. Add a sticker of Blue to the house.

Decorations:
Use blue and yellow balloons, streamers, tablecovers, and party supplies.

Or purchase character party supplies from The Party Works.

Blow up a yellow balloon and draw a face on it to resemble Luna.

Use a Color Your Own House for Bear's house. Or use a large appliance box to make your own house.

Put out any character toys or plush you may already have.

Tie a cluster of balloons to a stuffed Bear and use as a table decoration.

Enlarge pictures of the charcters and hang on the walls.

Or buy posters of Bear in the Big Blue House and hang these instead.

Play the Bear in the Big Blue House CD.

Cake or Cupcakes:
Use the house mold pan from The Party Works to make a Big Blue House. Or use the
bear mold pan to make Bear.

Decorate a sheet cake with a Bear in the Big Blue House cake topper or toy figures.

Make cupcakes and ice with blue frosting. Top with a gummi bear or Teddy Graham.

Food and Snacks:
Mix teddy grahams and Honey Comb cereal for a bear snack.

Peanut butter and honey sandwiches. Cut into bear shapes with a cookie cutter if you like.

Tutter's Cheese Tray. Make a tray of cubed cheeses and put festive party picks in them.

Treelo's Chocolate Covered Bananas. Or cover the bananas in yogurt and then dip in nuts, sprinkles, chocolate chips, granola...whatever toppings you'd like. You might
even set this up as a hands on activity for the kids to do.

Blue Hawiian Punch.

Blue jello cups or jello jigglers cut into bear shapes.

Games and Activities:
Hang a white sheet or large white posterboard and make "Shadow" puppets.

Dance the Bear Cha Cha Cha:) Give the kids plastic maracas, tambourines and horns to play and dance along with the music.

Use a kiddie pool to make "Otter Pond". Fill with packaging peanuts and hide items for the kids to find.

Or send the kids "fishing" in Otter Pond. Make a fishing pole out of a wooden dowel and a piece of string. Tie a clothes pin to one end of the string and tie the
other end to the "pole". Hang some type of drape over a certain area say in a doorway. Have a person stand behind the drape. Children will take turn tossing their line over the drape. The person on the other side then clips a prize to the pin for the child to "reel" in.

Play the game "Where, oh, Where is Shadow"? Print all the character's pictures off the Internet or a coloring book. Hide all the characters and let the kids find them. Whoever finds Shadow gets a prize.

Fill a jar with gummy bears. Have guests guess how many..winner gets the jar.

Pin the nose (or tail) on bear.

Watch a Bear in the Big Blue House video. This is a good winding down activity you can do while the guests wait to be picked up.

At the end of the party, sing the "Goodbye" song from the CD.
