Enhance The Hunt

Posted

These ideas will make your "Hunt" even more special,
but remember that they
can be changed to fit your party's theme.

"The" Golden Egg
Whatever kind of hunt you have, hide "one" golden egg in a very hard to find spot. The person finding the golden egg wins a Silver Dollar... nor better yet, that person does NOT have to do the dishes or clean up after dinner!

A Bunny Carrot
Every here and there among the hidden eggs, be sure a little piece of carrot....only to further the notion that the Easter Bunny really had been there!

Footprints
Make a stencil for a bunny or bear or Cinderella's glass slipper footprints. If the hunt is inside the house, cut them out of construction paper. Better yet, if the hunt is outside, use baby powder to show that the Easter Rabbit or Blues Clues or Cinderella (or any character you want) was there hiding the eggs or prizes.

Animal Ears
Create animal ears for each child and as they children search for prizes, they are to make the sounds of the animal ears they are wearing. For example: Dog ears -- child will bark; Cat ears -- child will meow, etc.

Where To Start?
Leave an M&M's or Nestle' Chocolate Chip trail to get everyone started.

Redeemable Plastic Eggs
At the end of the hunt, pay a penny or a nickle for each plastic egg turned in -- use them again next year.

Handicap Ideas

* Line the children up, youngest to oldest, and let the youngest
start one minute ahead of older kids.

* Older kids find eggs or prizes hidden above their waist.

* Older kids must look up (trees, decks, fences) to find their eggs or prizes
while the young kids look down (ground, steps, sidewalk) for theirs.
