Don't let the superstition of the day make you wacky, just relax!

This is a fun office or organizational party or as a get-together before a meeting starts.

This idea can also be used for charities to host a project that is different to raise funds.


'Reverse the Day' ... have a Friday the 13th BREAKFAST!

Menu:
Usual breakfast items
Don't forget Lucky Charms cereal!

Food Buffet Display:
Open up ladders and place plywood covered with black paper or plastic tablecovers and placed on the rungs (front to back) to create a shelf. Place paper goods, utensils
and food on the shelves. Depending on number of guests, several ladders may be necessary.

Superstitions, Wives Tales and Bad Luck
IDEA: Create a Trivia Match Game with the "Cure"
Create small table tents around the food and/or on the tables, each with a different supersition.
i.e.
Breaking a mirror brings 7 years bad luck
Walking under a ladder is bad luck
If you go outside with wet hair, you'll catch a cold
If you eat strawberries while pregnant, the baby will have a strawberry-shaped birthmark
If you spill salt on the table is bad luck
If you suddenly shiver, it means someone is walking over your future grave
(check the Internet for so many you probably didn't even know existed)

Tables:
Black paper or plastic tablecovers
Red and Black solid color paper plates
Red and Black solid color paper napkins
Red and Black solid color plastic spoons, forks, knives

Room Decorations:
Black Cats, Ladders and Spiders (construction paper)
(tape to walls, tablecovers and using clear fishing line, hang from the ceiling)
Open Umbrellas on the floor

Doorway Entrance:
Place an opened ladder so guests have to walk under it to get into the room.

Doorway Sign:
"Welcome to the 13th Floor"

Celebrate Guests Birthdays:
Contrary to popular belief, anyone BORN on a Friday the 13th good luck on every Friday the 13th throughout their life!

This theme is fun, easy and guests easily enjoy themselves!
