Graduation - Brainy Bear Stand Up Cake

Brainy Bear Mini Cake

Use the mini cake as a centerpiece or place on top of a sheet cake for great effect!
The decorating for this will take a lot of time and patience but the results will be great!

Stand-Up Bear Cake Pan
Cake Decorating Tips 3, 5, 20, 233
Plastic or wooden Dowels
Construction or Cardstock Paper to make graduation cap and diploma or purchase at a craft store
Ribbon

Ingredients:
Black, Brown Icing Colors
Your favorite cake recipe or box mix
Your favorite Buttercream frosting recipe
Cornstarch

Bake and cool cake following instructions.
Cut dowel rods using a serrated knife: one 3 1/2 in. long for diploma, two 4 in. long for arms.
Insert dowel rods into cake sides for arms.
Frost bottom of feet and shirt area smooth.
Pipe-in tip 3 eyes, mouth and nose, smooth with finger dipped in cornstarch.
Pipe tip 20 stars on gown, overpiping sleeves.
Tie ribbon onto dowel rod for diploma.
Using tip 5, pipe hands, position dowel rod, overpipe fingers.
Cover hands, feet and head with tip 233 pull-out fur.
Pipe tip 3 string eyebrows.
Position cap.
Serves 12.
