Did YOU Know... about cupcakes?

Tips are not only fun to read, but sometimes you actually
find a tip that works and makes life easier.

Here are a few of our favorites for cupcakes.

Did YOU Know...
about cupcakes???

Cupcakes with surprises in the middle
By simply adding some Candy Confetti shapes to the cupcake batter just before filling the cupake liners or pan, you will have created plain white or yellow cupcakes into colorful surprises.  The Candy Confettis are colorful and come in lots of different shapes (such as jimmies, cars, dinosaurs, footballs, etc.) that meld together during the baking cycle.  Shelf-life is years as long as these candies are kept sealed from air and kept in a darkened area like a kitchen cabinet or drawer.

Easily fill cupcake baking liners without a mess
By placing the batter into a pastry bag or ziplock type bag (cut a small hole in the corner to pour batter), it is a simple way to fill the cupcake baking cups without spilling batter onto the cupcake pan that is a mess to clean up after the baking is finished.  If that is too much work, think about using a small ice cream scoop or measuring cup.  Both work well.

Enhance cupcakes with easy-to-do fillings
Create an instant transformation from plain cupcake to dessert treat!  Use a pastry bag and a round tip... or use a ziplock type baggie, cut a small corner off and insert a round cake decorating tip to fill a cupcake with icing, jam, pudding, custard or whipped cream.  Bake and cool cupcakes completely, push bag with tip into top of cupcake and squeeze a little bit of the filling directly intot he cupcake, then frost cupcakes as usual.   (If filling begins to squirt out the top, the cupcake is over filled.  A little filling keeps the cupcake firm).
